    Compton Hospice is a Wolverhampton based charity which has been supporting patients facing a life-limiting illness, and their families, for 35 years.

    Their purpose is to make a difference to people’s lives when their illness is no longer curable. They do this by treating people, not conditions, whether their needs are physical, psychological, social or spiritual.

    Above and Beyond CIC

    Above & Beyond was founded by two youth workers who were made redundant, so we decided to set up a community interest company doing the things we enjoy doing, DofE Expeditions was one of those things.  We are delighted to be an AAP who can offer Bronze and Silver Expeditions .

    FSC Preston Montford


    Many ecologists come to FSC Preston Montford to learn how to identify and conserve flora and fauna of the UK, following in the footsteps of local evolutionary biologist, geologist and scientific thinker, Charles Darwin. The Field Centre has played a significant role in the development of biological recording in Britain. The Centre overlooks the River Severn and is located 8 km west of Shrewsbury.


    It provides comfortable accommodation and expert course leaders for its Conservation and Biodiversity: DofE Gold Residential.

    The Mill Adventure Base

    Working directly with your school, our highly qualified and experienced outdoor staff can organise and deliver the whole of the expedition element of the DofE Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. From the initial route-planning through to practice and final qualifying expeditions, we provide quality training and experienced and fully qualified supervision for the expeditions, accredited assessors. Expedition locations include Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Peak District, Wales, the Lake District and Scotland. Expeditions can be by foot, canoe or by bike.
    Bronze Expedition Package £190 per head
    2 days training, 2 Day 1 night Practice Expedition, 2 Day 1 night Final Expedition
    Silver Expedition Package £250 per head
    3 days training, 2 Day 2 night Practice Expedition, 3 Day 2 night Final Expedition
    Gold Expedition package £450 per head

    These prices are for expeditions by foot and include maps, compasses, campsite fees and stove fuel as well as training and supervision by our expedition supervisors & assessors. Our prices offer fantastic value for money for a great quality provision and are significantly less than commercial providers.

    Peterborough and District Football league

    The Peterborough & District Football League is one of the oldest in the County, and was formed in 1902.




    We have eight divisions ranging from our flagship Premier Division part of the National League System, 5 Recreational Divisions and Two Veterans Divisions. We also have access to over 100 Youth Clubs with an age range from U15 to U18’s. We cover the centre of Peterborough and the surrounding seven County Football Associations.


    The league can coordinate volunteering, physical and skills sections by signposting you to opportunities within local clubs, offering a wide variety of options including supporting coaches, Social Media, producing programmes, operating tuck shop and many more.

    Award Solutions

     Award Solutions offers quality Bronze, Silver, and Gold expeditions to schools, youth groups, and voluntary organisations. Our staff have over 25 years’ expertise and a wealth of knowledge in delivering safe and challenging expeditions. All Award Solutions staff have youth work and outdoor education qualifications and enhanced DBS. Award Solutions is an inclusive charity and staff work with people of, differing abilities, are vulnerable, or have different needs and back grounds. We offer foot expeditions which are generally based in the North of England and Wales to reduce travelling costs. The expedition experience is tailored to your needs and includes training, practice and qualifying expeditions. We use our own Accredited Assessors who will get to know the young people through the expedition and will complete the aim and presentation if requested. You can use our expedition equipment or bring your own, some personal equipment can also be borrowed.

    Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development

    We are Surrey County Council's outdoor education service with three outdoor centres and a specially designed wheelchair accessible canal boat. We offer expeditions on foot & trail bikes as well as in canoes, kayaks or sailing boats mainly in the South-East. We approach each enquiry on a case by case basis. We tailor expeditions to meet the needs of the group, particularly groups with additional needs. We can deliver pre-expedition training, the practice expedition and the qualifying expedition at all levels. We also supply technical staff and assessors where required.

    Peak Park Conservation Residentials

    The Peak Park Conservation Volunteers (PPCV) provides fantastic conservation opportunities alongside the Peak District National Park Rangers. You will be involved in a variety of practical conservation projects throughout the National Park during your residential
    You will be located within the beautiful Peak District National Park at our residential centres, Marsh Farm, near Leek and Brunts Barn, near Grindleford.

    We provide food, accommodation, use of tools / equipment and insurance for £195. Our projects are available throughout the year for people aged 18 and above and are allocated on a first-come first-served basis

    Norfolk Expeditions CIC

    Duke of Edinburgh's Award training and expeditions are delivered on a not-for-profit basis by Norfolk Expeditions Community Interest Company.

    JC Adventures

     JC Adventures offers Bronze, Silver and Gold expeditions, we provide a fully supported expedition package either using areas local to you or we can suggest new expedition areas to try out. Each program is unique as we tailor the program to meet the needs of each organisations requirements. Everything we do is student focused and student lead. Participants are provided with and supported through a comprehensive training package, which covers navigation, first aid, route planning and camp craft. Handouts are provided to support the learning allowing the participants to feel confident in their abilities and to take on the challenge in front of them..

     Expedition (both practice and assessed) & training opportunities primarily for participants living in the Oxfordshire area at all levels, run entirely by experienced and qualified volunteer leaders at almost cost price. All expeditions are on foot, with Bronze being in the Oxfordshire area, Silver being further afield such as the New Forest or the Wye Valley and Gold in more remote areas such as the Brecon Beacons or the Lake district.     Hillingdon Narrowboat Association

     Participants have the unique opportunity to complete their Residential section on board one of our five community narrowboats. HNA is an independent and voluntary-run community narrowboat project with five boats including one historic boat and one with facilities for the disabled. We are based in Harefield, which is on the southern section of the Grand Union Canal, accessible from Denham, Uxbridge or Rickmansworth if you're coming by train.

    Work on board as a crew member, training towards to be a qualified “Skipper” over a five day period. You will complete the Community Boat Leadership Programme and may qualify for the Boat Handling Certificate, both of which are issued by the National Community Boats Association, and are nationally recognised, while all the time discovering and exploring England’s heritage and the Inland Waterways. Learn new skills, meet people, challenge yourself and of course, have fun!

    FSC Residential Opportunities in Wales

     FSC Rhyd-y-creuau

    FSC Rhyd-y-creuau is an ideal base for exploring the diverse habitats and environments of Snowdonia National Park; from glaciated valleys, rivers and wooded hillsides to dramatic coasts and sand dune ecosystems. The centre itself is a Georgian house set in two hectares of wooded grounds.

    The centre provides comfortable accommodation and expert course leaders for its Discover Snowdonia – DofE Award (Gold Residential).
