Possible volunteering opportunity; Clifton Home Care, South Fylde, Lancashire

    Clifton Homecare Limited.

We are a family run business providing care to clients living in their own homes in the South Fylde location. Our office address is 30 Orchard Road, St Annes, Lancashire, FY8 1PF. This is where volunteers would need to report to.

All volunteers would receive a brief induction and there would be first aid cover at all times. The company has relevant insurance which covers volunteers.

The opportunity would be to assist clients on outings in the community (to places of interest such as garden centres, shopping centres and meals out) and assistance with support groups based at the office location. This would entail assistance with refreshments and talking with clients and helping with activities such as writing.

All activities take place with DBS checked staff. The volunteer would not replace a member of staff but instead chat with the clients, assist with getting refreshments and walk with those who are able to when walking is required. No moving and handling would be required although assistance with manoeuvring wheelchairs would be beneficial.

Before starting your volunteering opportunity you must check with you DofE leader first.
