    Gold Expeditions

Gold Expeditions offer bespoke expeditions for small groups and schools. Bronze and Silver expeditions are also offered, but all the expeditions are of a “gold” standard, helping individuals to achieve beyond their aspirations as part of a team.

The focus is on working with small groups that want to do their expedition in the true spirit of DofE; plan it from start to finish by themselves. Alison will facilitate this experience right from the initial contact through to signing off the expedition on eDofE. Her passion and professionalism for both The Award and the outdoors ensures that each group will come away having had an expedition which exceeds their expectations.

Bespoke expeditions are run in locations that suit participants. Recent expeditions have been in Scotland, Peak District and The Alps.

    The Children's Society

The Children’s Society is a national charity that runs local projects, helping children and young people when they are at their most vulnerable, and have nowhere left to turn.

We also campaign for changes to laws affecting children and young people, to stop the mistakes of the past being repeated in the future.

Our supporters around the country fund our services and join our campaigns to show children and young people they are on their side.

We are looking for retail volunteers for our charity shops and fundraising volunteers to support the work we do.

Our Volunteer Support Groups play a vital role in conservation work, wildlife monitoring and organising events.

Support Group working parties help with tree and hedge planting, painting gates, clearing scrub, knocking down bracken, pulling ragwort, erecting nest boxes, and other essential (and healthy!) work.
