    Rotary Interact Clubs - volunteer projects


    Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI) is the association of Rotary clubs within England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

    For young people aged 12 to 18 to work together helping others in their communities and across the world, whilst having fun and learning about the world.

    They are based in secondary schools or colleges and organise at least two service projects a year: one that benefits their community and one that benefits international understanding.

    Basti Ram residential volunteering in India


    Basti Ram is a UK registered charity that teaches skills to disadvantaged communities in India so that they can build their own brighter future. 

     

    We run projects in day nurseries and primary schools with children from rural tribal communities who are the first in that area to attend formal education.

     

    Basti Ram offer 14-day DofE Gold Residentials that give participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in a new culture, meet other likeminded people from around the world and most of all give something invaluable to those who are less fortunate – their time and their skills.

    Summer Reading Challenge in Poole Libraries - volunteers needed


    Are you aged 13-25? Do you like books? Are you looking to boost your CV? If so, come and help children aged 4-11 take part in the Summer Reading Challenge in Poole Libraries.

     

    There are places available at all of our 10 libraries and we can offer hours to suit you both during and after the summer holidays. You will work with children to encourage them to read as well as helping to promote the challenge and our summer activities.

     

    Roles include: Reading Recruiter, Activity Ace, Apps and IT specialist, Social Media Correspondent and more. You will develop your confidence and people skills and make new friends.

    At a minimum you must check your section of route once a month and report this to your group co-ordinator.

     

    We are looking for volunteers who are:
    • self motivated to carry out tasks independently once directed
    • work well within a team
    • live close to or travel regularly along your allocated section of route.

    Sustrans are a leading UK charity enabling people to travel by foot, bike or public transport for more of the journeys we make every day.

    Revitalise FREE Residentials


    Revitalise is an innovative charity which specialises in providing respite holidays for disabled people and carers in the UK.

    St Barnabas Hospices - community companion


    St Barnabas House is a local independent charitable hospice located in Worthing, Sussex, looking after adults who are approaching the end of their lives.

    Village by Village Residential


    Adventures in the lush jungles of West Africa....... We are not a travel company. We are a non-profit international development charity. Tourists do not get to the villages we reach.

    We work in remote rural villages living in poverty in Ghana, West Africa. Volunteering will probably be one of the most worth while things that you ever do so make it count.
